Lightweight contender takes MMA fight

According to the Bangkok Post, two-division champion Sirimongkol Singwangcha is putting his boxing career on hold for an MMA fight in Korea. Sirimongkol, who won a WBC lightweight eliminator in 2005 but never received a title shot, will face Hanwool Kim in Seoul, South Korea on Sunday.  He formerly held WBC titles at 118 and 130 pounds. The Bangkok Post reported that hepatitis blocked his title shot in 2005 but "the WBC declared him disease-free two months ago." As apro boxer, Sirimongkol is 54-2 with many title defenses.
