Contrary to reports on a lesser informed website, Ivaylo Gotzev, manager of WBO heavyweight champion Sergei Liakhovich, informed Boxingtalk.com that no deal has been struck for Liakhovich to defend against Briggs on Showtime on November 4. Gotzev told Boxingtalk.com that he hasn't spoken to promoter Don King since Sunday and also stated, "They might have satisfied the challenger's corner but they still need to make sure they take care of the champion. Don is busy promoting Valuev and we're supposed to meet on Friday so we'll see what happens." (7:55 PM)
