Lerrone Richards W12 Carlos Gongora... The IBO super middleweight title changed hands today in Manchester, England as Great Britain's Lerrone Richards defeated Carlos Gongora of Ecuador via split decision. Official scores were 115-113 (twice) for Richards, overruling 116-112 for Gongora. Richards (16-0) is on a roll, as his last fight was a win over Giovanni DiCarolis that brought him the European championship. Gongora is now 20-1. He was the aggressor in the fight but did not land an abundance of clean punches.
