Lennox Allen, Leon Moore win in Guyana

Lennox Allen KO1 Rafael Romero... It was a short night in Guyana for Rafael Romero, a former Olympian, as Lennox Allen proved too strong for him in a junior middleweight bout. Allen (8-0) was penalized 2 points for a low blow, but responded by dropping Romero (4-11-1) twice before the final knockdown in the first round. For the record, Romero lost to Dillon Carew in the 1992 Olympic Games.

Leon Moore TKO2 Edison Morillo... Also on the results of the first edition of the Caribbean Boxing Classic, bantamweight Leon Moore improved to 20-2 by stopping Edison Morillo in the second round. Moore is 20-0 in the Caribbean and 0-2 everywhere else, but the losses were by split and majority decision, so on paper he appears to be a world class bantamweight. Other results on the Guyana card: Paul Lewis KO1 Clifton Barker and Dexter Marques W6 Orlon Rogers. source for all results: Carwyn Holland
