LeBlanc-Edwards ar Dorchester Armory November 5!

PRESS RELEASE: Promoter Danny Kelly announces a night of professional boxing on Saturday night November 5th at the Dorchester Armory in Dorchester MA. Headlining the evening is South Boston's Jimmy "The Dream" Leblanc. LeBlanc, the former amateur standout and veteran of 23 professional contests  will face off against Leo Edwards of Philadelphia, PA. Edwards is a 30 fight veteran who has fought a virtual who's who of top welter and super welterweight contenders over the last decade. His biggest win is a KO stoppage of Willy Wise, a former conqueror of Julio Caesar Chavez. The bout is scheduled for 6 rounds. Also scheduled to appear in a 4 round bout is heavyweight Gary Bell who owns a 1st round ko over heavyweight contender Jameel McCline and a sports pro record of 22-3-1 with 15 ko's. Bell will be making his first appearance of 2005 and is looking to make some noise in the heavyweight division. Rounding off the undercard are a series of 4 round bouts featuring several  young promising local fighters. Featherweight Denise Moses 3-0 out of
Lawrence will look for her 4th win as a pro against Melvina Corey. Light  heavy Chris Traietti tries to move to 2-0 against 1-1 Charlie Hayward. Super middleweight JP Keane, originally from Galway Ireland and now fighting out of Dorchester, will square off against David Johnson 1-2. And Simeon Dunwell makes his professional debut against Anthony Whigham. Also scheduled to appear on the card is Mark Clancy 4-0-1 originally from Clare Ireland and now fighting out of Dorchester will go for his 5th pro win as he steps in with Mike Needling 0-6 in a rematch from last August. South Boston's Eddie McAloney is also scheduled to appear against an opponent to be announced. Tickets will be available at the door and are priced at $30 for general  admission and $40 for ringside. Doors will open at 7pm
