Last weekend on a ProBox show in Lakeland Florida, Muhammad Yaqubov of Tajikistan took home a significant win in the junior lightweight division, defeating William Foster III by majority decision. After ten rounds, the judges scored it for Yaqubov by scores of 95-95 and 98-92 (twice). Total punches landed were very close, with Yaqubov holding a slim edge of 128-122. It was the sixth straight win for Yaqubov since his lone defeat, a decision loss in 2022 to current WBC champion O’Shaquie Foster. Yaqubov is now 23-1 for his pro career. Foster returns home to Connecticut with a record of 19-2.
