Lacierva jobbed by Texas judges

Jorge Lacierva D10 Armando Guerrero... The good ole boy network is alive and well in Texas, and one need look no further than the ESPN telecast opener for evidence.  In San Antonio, Jorge Lacierva outpunched Armando Guerrero 178-125 according to Punchstats and dominated the ten round junior featherweight bout 99-91 on broadcaster Teddy Atlas' scorecard.  Unfortunately, Lacierva lives in Georgia, while Guerrero, 20-3-6, calls Austin, Texas home, which was good enough to blind judges Joel Elizondo (97-93 for Guerrero) and Anthony Townsend (95-95) to the action in the ring.  Only Roy Ovalle got it right (96-94 Lacierva).  Lacierva is now 26-5-4, but his Boxingtalk #6 rating is safe.  This one wasn't as bad the Paulie Ayala-Hugo Dianzo job a couple of years back, but it reeks nonetheless.
