Press Release: On June 3, 2006 junior middleweight contender Attila Kovacs of Hungary will make his first attempt at a minor world title in Szolnok, Hungary, when he challenges IBO titleist Steve Conway (34-6). Kovacs, whose record is 18-1, is one of the best prospects from the Felix Promotions stable, and he's willing to show European fans he deserves a top spot on the world boxing stage. Kovacs' greatest achievement up to date was on October 29, 2005 when he successfully defeated Mamadou Thiam (42-6 with 39 KOs) with a tremendous technical knocout victory in the seventh round. Howwever the 29 year-old Conway, managed by Michael Marsden, will make things difficult for the Hungarian. Conway acquired the IBO belt on March 3, 2006, scoring a unanimous point decision over Mihaly Kotai in Hartlepool, England. This Felix Promotions bill will include some other Hungarian local stars and it will be televised by National Channel TV2.
