Komrith Haemovit Gym aka Komrith Lukkuongmuekol retained his PABA 115-pound title easily with a first-round knockout of Cris Besmanos at Srimuang Market in Rachaburi province, Thailand on Febuary 24. He landed a big straight left to Besmanos' chin that dropped his foe to the floor. The lowest rope saved Besmanos' head from hitting the floor but the referee reached the ten-count. Komrith suffered a fifth-round KO against Gilberto Gonzalez and lost his first PABA junior flyweight title ten months ago. He won the title back last August but had only one knockout win in his previous five bouts.  Besmanos reportedly is a current Philippine Boxing Federation junior featherweight champ who reduced his weight to challenge for the PABA belt. On the same card, Wanmeechok Singhwangcha scored a sixth-round unanimous decision win over the former Philippine Boxing Federation and current Mindanao Professional Boxing Association miniflyweight title holder, Philip Parcon. Japanese fighter Akiyoshi  Kobayashi got a third-round knockout win over Pornthep Sithramkamhaeng, the same result as Nongkai Pattawikorn Gym against Rithdej 3K Battery.
