Thammanoon Niyomtrong TKO5 Robert Paradero... In Phuket, Thailand, Thammanoon Niyomtrong a/k/a Knockout CP Freshmart scored a technical knockout over Robert Paradero to retain his WBA 105-pound title. Paradero was an unskilled boxer, showing poor balance and wild overhand shots throughout the bout. He did not deserve this title shot, as his last fight was a loss to Vic Saludar for the WBA regular title. Under WBA politics, Paradero was "rewarded" for the loss to Saludar with a shot at the WBA's bigger title.  Niyomtrong, who was cut around his eye in the first round, improves to 23-0 and is more than ready to move on to unification bouts if promoters can arrange them. For his part, Paradero returns to the Philippines at 18-2.
