Boxingtalk.com understands that former undisputed heavyweight champion Hasim "Rock" Rahman and his promoter Don King have yet to sign a contract for Rahman to challenge WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko on June 18. DKP and Team Rahman still have some wiggle room to finalize a deal, however, if a deal is not finalized shortly, Klitschko-Rahman will be headed to a purse-bid. Word has also reached Boxingtalk.com that at least one major promoter would bid in excess of $10M, to stage the bout. For Klitschko-Rahman to take place on June 18 as schedule a purse-bid would have to be held in mid-may at the latest.
