King's Promotions Presents March Badness at the Riveredge

Press release:  King's Promotions returns to The Riveredge Hotel & Restaurant complex in Reading, Pennsylvania on Saturday March 10th with an exciting night of ballroom-style boxing featuring undefeated middleweight contender Tarvis Simms of Norwalk, CT, as well as local favorites Travis Kauffman, Jason Cintron, Bobby Heath and Jeremy Stauffer. Also scheduled on the card is undefeated lightweight prospect Darnell Jiles of Rochester, NY.

Marshall Kauffman of King's Promotions is promoting the fight card in conjunction with The Riveredge, an intimate venue that puts boxing fans close to all the hard-hitting action. Kauffman, who is gaining a national reputation as a skilled trainer, is carrying on Reading's tradition as a classic boxing town. "The Riveredge has long been one of my favorite venues in the Reading area," stated Kauffman. "I've been involved with many thrilling bouts there over the years and look forward to another crowd pleasing fight night."

The main event will feature undefeated Tarvis Simms (20-0-1, 11 KOs), twin brother of current WBA light middleweight champion Travis Simms. He is a former National Golden Gloves champion and holds an amateur win over WBC/WBO middleweight champ Jermain Taylor.

Heavyweight prospect Travis Kauffman (7-0, 5 KOs), who is currently in Las Vegas working as a sparring partner for former heavyweight champ Hasim Rahman, will look to continue his unbeaten streak and climb up the heavyweight ranks. Long time Reading favorite Bobby Heath (25-13-5, 11 KOs) returns to the ring in a six round middleweight bout. Also scheduled is junior welterweight Jason Cintron (3-0, 1 KO), brother of IBF welterweight champion Kermit Cintron, and crowd pleasing cruiserweight Jeremy Stauffer (6-1, 6 KOs). Lightweight prospect Darnell Jiles (5-0, 2 KOs) was recently featured on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights.

Doors open at 6:45pm; fights start at 7:30pm. The Riveredge is located on Route 183 North, just south of the Reading Airport. Tickets are priced at $60.00 ringside (incl. free drink) and $30.00 general admission. $5.00 additional at the door. There will also be a Fight Night Afterparty including beer and food for $15.00 per person.
