Kendall wants the HOLT truth out there

Team Holt issues statement

In a dramatic fight in Baranquilla, Colombia, Ricardo Torres retained his WBO junior welterweight title with an eleventh-round technical knockout of Kendall Holt. Torres was knocked down in the sixth round and according to reports, he appeared to be in serious danger of being knocked out himself. Torres survived but was trailing on two of the three scorecards when he hurt Holt and the referee stopped the bout to the delight of Torres' countrymen. Holt's manager filed a protest afterwards on the basis that the fans were throwing objects into the ring during the eleventh round. and here is what Holt had to say in a press release upon his return to the United States: "Looking for the truth, the Holt truth and nothing but the truth on the fiasco that passed for the WBO junior welterweight championship in Colombia last Saturday night, September 1? Loaded beer cans hit contender Kendall Holt's head the minute he knocked down defending champion Ricardo Torres in the sixth round, not to mention the chaotic environment they fought in the entire night.  Think we're pulling your leg?  Not a chance. Someone from Torres' corner reached through the ropes and pulled Holt's leg during the eleventh round nearly pulling him down. Team Kendall is already preparing a formal protest with the WBO. An e-mail press release cannot do justice to the injustice suffered by the Paterson, NJ resident, but Holt and his manager Henry Cortes will be conducting interviews to describe the Holt's view of the scene from start to ugly finish."
