GL: How is everything going in preparation for your April 20 showdown with Mike Arnaoutis on Shobox? "Everything is going really good man. I'm feeling good, I'm looking good, I'm eating good. Things couldn't be better."
GL: What do you think of Arnaoutis as a fighter and what did you think about his performance against Torres?Kendall Holt: "I got the tape upstairs, but I haven't watched the tape of him and Torres yet. I've seen him fight a few times and he's a tough guy and a good boxer, but that's about it."
GL: I'm sure you're glad this fight is being televised, but do you feel it's more suited for Showtime Championship boxing than Shobox?KH: "Definitely. I'm confident that I'm going to win the fight and I'm just glad it's going to be shown on the network. I've had nothing easy up to this point of my career and I don't expect things to start going easy now."
GL: Is Arnaoutis going twelve rounds on April 20?KH: "To be honest with you, it's possible but highly unlikely. He's a tough guy and he's got some skills, but he gets hit a lot. I'm a strong puncher, I'm smart and I have more speed and it's going be difficult for him to deal with that. He's been in there with Urango and in that fight he was getting hit with punches that were coming from the lockerroom. I expect it to be a good fight and he's a good fighter, but I would be surprised if he lasted twelve."
GL: Will your speed be the difference maker in this fight?KH: "I'm not going to come out and say that but it's going to give him problems. A skilled boxer with speed and a nice punch is going to give anybody problems. He has a lot to worry about."
GL: Do you consider Aranoutis a stiffer test than Isaac Hlatswayo?KH: "Two different styles. I don't consider one better than the other. They're both good fighters and they're both great competitors. Hey, I'm going to get it in there to make it do what it do."
GL: Is there anything you'd like to say in closing?KH: "I don't lay back down, I lay backs down."
