Big Money Superfight Looms for Pavlik if He Gets By Taylor

Late Friday night, Comcast (CN8) was reporting that Top Rank and Don King were in talks about a superfight between the undisputed middleweight champion Kelly “The Ghost” Pavlik and former welterweight, jr. middleweight and middleweight champion Felix “Tito” Trinidad.  Although Trinidad is coming off of a loss to Roy Jones Jr, Trinidad performed much better than most anticipated and at least made the bout exciting with a vicious body attack on Jones.  And at least for tonight, Kelly Pavlik has some unfinished business with former middleweight champion Jermain Taylor.  Win lose or draw, Kelly Pavlik will ultimately remain the middleweight champion as tonight’s rematch will be above the 160lb limit.  Source: CN8
