Sources close to the situation have informed Boxingtalk.com that promoters Lou DiBella and Don King have been in serious discussions to stage a one of the best junior middleweight match-ups in boxing, Roman Karmazin defending the IBF title he captured from Kassim Ouma against Ike "Bazooka" Quartey. The bout would take place on April 15 at The Theatre at Madison Square Garden and is currently pending HBO's approval. Word is Quartey prefers facing Karmazin over Kassim Ouma, who was also in the running, because he feels capturing a title will make his bout with Vernon Forrest a more significant fight once the Viper heals up.
