Kameda to do the right thing

According to Japan Today, teenage superstar Koki Kameda, probably the most popular boxer in the world today, will do the honorable thing by giving Juan Landaeta the chance to avenge his controversial split-decision defeat in a rematch with the WBA light flyweight championship at stake. The report stated that Kameda's Kyoei Gym announced a rematch to take place in mid or late October at a yet-to-be-decided venue. Kameda was knocked down in round one and barely finished the fight, but won several middle rounds and was given a split decision. A panel of three Boxingtalk judges viewed a video of the fight and scored it for the Venzuelan Landaeta by majority decision.
