Former world lightweight champion Gorge Kambosos (pictured) responded to WBO junior welterweight champion Teofimo Lopez fight offer as follows: "You're a Fugazi like I said in 2021 and like I say now in 2024. What reasonable offer? You know nothing about money, PPVs or selling tickets. HAHA, you fight in wedding ballrooms these days, you don’t know if you're coming or going. If you really want it, like I I’ve always said, you know where to find me. Bring your daddy too, we already 2 and 0 against you clowns. Your bosses don’t respect you anyway just like I didn’t respect you and manhandled you."

Kambosos was responding to Lopez's claim that he is being ducked. Lopez tweeted, "we sent reasonable offers to fight to [the teams of] both Devin Haney and George Kambosos. Both have declined! If you don’t believe it, ask [my promoter] Top Rank and [Top Rank's matchmake] Bruce Trampler." Both Haney and Kambosos are former world lightweight champions, as Kambosos took the world lightweight championship from Lopez in 2021 and Haney took it from Kambosos in 2022.
