KLITSCHKO AND LACY TO HELP UNVEIL NEW OUTDOOR AMPHITHEATRE AT CAESARS PALACE

Former WBO Heavyweight Champ Wladimir Klitschko and undefeated super middleweight contender Jeff Lacy will participate in the official unveiling of the new outdoor Amphitheatre at Caesars Palace. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, brunch will be served and both boxers will be available for additional photos and interviews (press roundtable). Klitschko makes his SHOWTIME debut when he faces NABF Heavyweight Champion DaVarryl “Touch Of Sleep’’ Williamson in the main event of a SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING tripleheader on Oct. 2 at 9 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the west coast) at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Prior to Klitschko-Williamson, SHOWTIME will feature a pair of world championship battles. In the evening’s second televised bout, International Boxing Federation (IBF) Junior Middleweight Champion Verno Phillips will make his initial title defense in a rematch against IBF No. 1 contender Kassim Ouma.  Opening the SHOWTIME tripleheader will be IBF No. 1 contender Syd Vanderpool taking on IBF No. 4 contender Lacy for the vacant IBF super middleweight belt.  Gary Shaw Productions, LLC, in association with Caesars Palace will present the event.
