K2 Promotions: We Have To Nothing Hide!

On Friday, Boxingtalk posted a story about the financial structure of the deal among the various boxing promoters associated with the Vitali Klitschko-Danny Williams heavyweight bout. The story suggested the effect of the deal was that money going to Danny Williams was being hidden from several interested parties. K2, Klitschko's promotional company and the lead promoter of the show, sent a statement to Boxingtalk denying that it had done anything wrong: "In your story, you suggested that K2 and Top Rank had engaged in questionably fraudulent conduct with regard to the IRS and the Nevada State Athletic Commission in connection with the Danny Williams purse issue. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, we have provided full disclosure with respect to all monies being paid either to Mr. Williams or to Sports Network to both the IRS and the Nevada State Athletic Commission." The letter was written by Ron DiNicola, an attorney representing K2.
