Julio Diaz is Willing to Knock Out Nate Campbell Any Day.

"I haven’t fought Nate yet because I didn’t think he was at my level, but he’ll get knocked out when the time is right."

BoxingTalk: Julio, there has been a lot of press lately on BoxingTalk about your fight with Nate Campbell, but we have not heard from you yet. What are your thoughts on facing Nate?

Julio Diaz: I’ve actually been on vacation with my family down in Mexico, so I haven’t heard anything yet.

BoxingTalk: Nate recently told BoxingTalk that he is your greatest fear. What is your response to him?

Julio Diaz: This is the first I’ve heard of it, but I don’t know what his deal is. I’ll give him a shot any day. I have nothing to fear. I don’t talk with my words, my actions prove who I am. I don’t duck anybody, and I’ve proven that I’ll fight anyone on their turf and on their terms. If Nate is anxious to get knocked out, then I’ll do it any day. I don’t care about the price. He’s entertaining himself while I’m on vacation, but he can call me personally and we can arrange it ourselves.

BoxingTalk: Nate went on to talk about how you have not been a better fighter since your "shellacking" against Castillo, and that you have fought sub-par opponents since. Again, what is your response to Nate’s comments?

Julio Diaz: I haven’t fought anybody because nobody wants to fight me. I wanted Casamayor, I signed up for Freitas, and I wanted Juan Diaz, but nobody wanted to fight me. I haven’t fought Nate yet because I didn’t think he was at my level, but he’ll get knocked out when the time is right.

BoxingTalk: Do you have a message that you would like to give Nate?

Julio Diaz: My message to Nate Campbell is talk to my promoters. I don’t sweat him, and whatever my promoters feel is right for me, then I’ll fight them.

BoxingTalk: So as far as your concerned a fight between you and Nate can happen?

Julio Diaz: I’ll fight Nate Campbell any day of the week.
