Judge Rules: WBA can't sanction any Hatton fight except for M'baye!

Burstein to seek same verdict he was awarded for Lewis-Rahman II

The US District court for the southern district of New York ruled today that the WBA is enjoined from sanctioning any other Hatton except for Hatton-Mbaye. According to M'Baye's attorney Judd Burstein Judge Denny Chin "granted our motion for an expedited trial on all issues including the claim that we will be filing on Monday barring Hatton from fighting anyone unless he fights M'Baye." Burstein also explained that even if Hatton decided to vacate his WBA strap to avoid facing M'Baye, he will seek the same verdict he was awarded when then undisputed heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman was enjoined from facing anyone other than Lennox Lewis, regardless of the sanctioning organizations ruling, for a period of eighteen months.
