Edouard suffers contusion near eye

Boxingtalk.com has been informed that all hell broke loose this past weekend at the Punch Fitness Center in Deerfield Beach, FL between members of the Zab Judah camp and Daniel “The Haitian Sensation” Edouard. Things reportedly got out of hand when words were exchanged between Edouard and a member of the Judah camp, which then led to members of Team Judah, both in gym and street clothes, attacking Edouard while he was still wearing his headgear and 16 oz. gloves. All this comes as both Judah and Edouard each have career defining fights broadcast coming up within the next month (Judah on the February 5th Showtime bagainst undisputed champ Cory Spinks; Edouard against undefeated 2000 Olympian Jermain Taylor February 19th on HBO). Despite the altercation, no one sustained any serious injuries, although Boxingtalk.com understands that Edouard has suffered a contusion over his left eye, and has been recommended by a doctor not to spar for the next two weeks, which will certainly play a huge part in preparation in his bout against Taylor.
