Juan wins the Diaz vs. Diaz battle

Juan Diaz TKO8 Julio Diaz... For the second straight time, Juan Diaz's non-stop offensive attack convinced a world titlist to hand over a world title rather than go out for more punishment. Julio Diaz was never down, but he had a black eye and lost all eight rounds of a fast-paced lightweight battle. Like Acelino Freitas did against Juan in April, Julio had enough and called it a day. Over eight one-sided but still competitive rounds, Juan was credited with landing 339 punches to Julio's 185. Now 33-0, Juan adds Julio's IBF belt to the WBA and WBO versions he already owned. When asked by HBO's Larry Merchant who he wanted to fight next, Juan did not mention Joel Casamayor, who many consider to be the true lightweight champion despite his lack of a major belt. Instead, Juan invited 130-pounder Manny Pacquiao to move five pounds north in what surely would be a great fight. Julio Diaz slips to 34-4.  source: hbo
