Golden Boy Brings Fireworks to MGM Grand!

Moments ago Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer informed Boxingtalk.com that 130 pound champion Juan Manuel Marquez will square off against the always exciting Jorge "La Hiena" Barrios on September 15. Marquez-Barrios will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada and headline a four fight HBO PPV telecast. "We're billing the fight as 'Fireworks' because that's what it's going to be, fireworks. In addition to the main event there will be three televised undercard fights and they will all be toe to toe battles," said the Golden CEO. Schaefer was reluctant to elaborate on who will be appearing on the undercard but assured us "there will be other well known names." As this goes to print Sugar Shane Mosley is not one of them.
