Juan Manuel Marquez: Barrios does a lot of talking, we'll see what he does in the ring!

GL:  BoxingTalk.com here with the 130 pound champion of the world, Juan Manuel Marquez.  Big fight coming up on September 15th, can we have your thoughts about it? "I would love to step in the ring right now, I'm ready for that."

GL:  How do you feel about all the talking?

JMM:  Obviously, they talk a lot outside of the ring.  I would like for him to demonstrate that inside the ring.

GL:  What would be the difference in this fight that leads to a Juan Manuel Marquez victory?

JMM:  Like always, nothing different, I'm going to box a lot.  I'm going to be prepared, with great conditioning.

GL:  Everyone in boxing wants to see Juan Manuel fight the winner of Pacquiao-Barrera.  Obviously, he wants to fight the winner of Barrera-Pacquiao.  Does having someone like Barrios, who does a lot of talking, make it easier for you to focus on this fight, instead of looking forward to that one?

JMM:  Obviously, I would like to fight the winner.  Yes, I'm focusing on September 15th, but I do see that fight happening.

GL:  What does a victory on September 15th, the big Mexican Independence Holiday, mean to you?

JMM:  It would be a great win, because it's our day, Independence Day.  That win also puts me closer to fighting the winner of Barrera-Pacquiao.

GL:  Is there anything you'd like to say to the fans in closing?

JMM:  I would like to thank them for their support and everything. I hope to see them all on September 15th, watching this great fight.
