The WBC reports that its super flyweight champion Juan Francisco “Gallo” Estrada as well as his wife were infected with the coronavirus in their native Mexico. Fortunately, both are now recovered after being in isolation and under medical supervision. Estrada thanked the support and good wishes received from his fans on social networks and confirmed that he is already fully recovered. His trainer, Alfredo Caballero, who also had the virus, said that Estrada remained fit by training at home and is awaiting confirmation that he can return to the ring. The last time that Estrada defended his title was on August 24, 2019, when he defeated the American Dewayne Beamon.
