The last two months has been filled with controversy for the Cuban heavyweight, stemming from an alleged positive drug test after his October bout with Oliver McCall. Apparently Gomez and his German promoter, Universum, have had recent conflicts over the future of his career as well. The constant stress in recent months has soured Gomez to the sport of boxing.
