Joshua expresses interest in fighting Fury

With the boxing world frozen during the coronavirus pandemic, there are two men, and two men only, vying for heavyweight supremacy: Tyson Fury who holds the WBC title, and Anthony Joshua (pictured) who holds the other three major belts (IBF, WBO and WBA). Both are British, so a super fight makes sense. While both men are contracted for separate fights, Joshua told Sky Sports  he is anxious to unify vs. Fury. "If you really want to say you're #1, come fight me. Let's get it on. I've got the rest of the belts so it only makes sense. I'm the unified heavyweight champion of the world, he's the WBC champion. What it will prove, me and him fighting? There will be one dominant figure in the heavyweight division that will have all of the belts and become undisputed. Logically to prove yourself as #1, I have to fight Tyson Fury. He has to fight Anthony Joshua." The issue blocking immediate unification are both men's contractual obligations: Joshua is signed for an IBF mandatory defense vs. Kubrat Pulev, while Fury owes Deontay Wilder a rematch after dismantling Wilder earlier this year.
