Joshua Clottey looks to corner Cintron, Alvarez elimination next?

GL: Is there any update since our last conversation? "These guys they don't want to fight me. My manager told me that we're going to fight for the IBF's number one spot. He told me that Shamone Alvarez will fight me for the spot, but I don't know anything yet because I haven't seen a contract."

GL: So Shamone Alvarez will be your next opponent?

Joshua Clottey: "That's what it looks like, but I don't know yet. I'm praying that he signs a contract so I can have a fight."

GL: Do you feel that's the only way for you to get a shot at the title?

JC: "Yes. These guys don't want to fight me Leon. The guys who said nobody wanted to fight them don't want to fight. Williams and Cintron are both women and they're trying to chose opponents they can beat. The only way I can get Cintron in the ring is to become the mandatory and once I get him in the ring I will mop the floor with him."

GL: Are you keeping yourself in fighting shape?

JC: "I'm going the gym a lot, but I don't know how to train any other way but hard. Sometimes I get bored training hard without knowing when I'm going to fight. Zab Judah, Luis Collazo, all of these guys don't want to fight me for the number one spot but these are the fights that are going to get you back to the title. They say there's no money in it, but there's money in title fights. They all don't want to fight me."
