Daniel Santos Will Be His Last Fight
Former WBA Welterweight and WBA Jr. Middleweight champion, Jose Antonio Rivera, 38-5 (24 KO’s), has announced his retirement. On the eve of his showdown with Daniel Santos, Rivera has stated “win, lose or draw” in the fight that will determine the WBA #1 challenger to champion Joachime Alcine, Jose will retire from boxing. According to the Worcester Telegram Rivera stated, "Another title would be nice, but at this point it would take a boat-load of money to bring me out of retirement, and I don't think I'll get that kind of deal."
