Press Release: Ossie Duran takes on Jonathan Reid in the eight round co-feature on the Febarury 9, 2007 pro-am show at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence. Two-time world champions Mia “The Knockout” St. John and Jaime “The Hurricane” Clampitt will headline for the vacant IWBF lightweight title. Duran (22-5-1, 9 KOs), has a notable win by third-round knockout of Jamie Moore (20-1), the former British lightweight champion. Nashville-native Reid (34-4, 19 KOs) is a former world title challenger, having been stopped early by then-WBA titlist William Joppy. Also scheduled in four-round bouts are Iraqi War veteran Chris Traietti (5-0, 3 KOs) versus super middleweight Greg Beerman (4-2, 1 KO), and popular Providence middleweight Richard “Bobo” Starnino (7-1-1, 1 KO) takes on James Shedrick, Jr. (4-7, 2 KOs).
