Johnson to face King tomorrow night!

Press Release: Heavyweight prospect Kevin Johnson (10-0-1) has been added to the Star Boxing event at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, New York, on October 11, 2006. He will face Demetrice King (9-14) in a six rounder.  In three short years as a professional, the 6’ 5”, 236-pound Johnson has already defeated two respected boxer, Robert Wiggins and Robert Hawkins, and, even more impressively, Johnson fought to a draw with  Timor Ibragimov, who is now 21-1-1.  Johnson vs. King will serve as one of the supporting bouts undernaeth a middleweight contest between Joey Gilbert (12-1, 9 KOs) and Keith Sims (25-12-1, 14 KOs).  In the co-feature Terrence Cauthen (31-3, 8 KOs) of New Jersey will challenge fellow former US Olympian Dante Craig (17-4-1, 13 KOs) for a vacant regional junior middleweight title.   Also scheduled for action are former Olympian Roberto Benitez (4-0, 3 KOs) and Philadelphia bantamweight Omar Carroll.
