Johnson defeats George Jones, calls out Tarver-Jones III winner!

2004 fighter of the year Glen "The Road Warrior" Johnson returned to his winning ways with an impressive tenth round stoppage  over rugged light heavyweight George Khalid Jones. Johnson floored Jones with a right cross in the first minute of the bout, and dominated the action throughout. In the final minute of the tenth round a powerful right hand sent Jones staggering defenselessly onto the ropes. After another two clean shots landed flush, the referee accepted Johnson's invite to stop the fight. Official time of stoppage was 2:30 of round ten. With the victory Johnson becomes mandatory challenger to IBF light heavyweight champion Clinton Woods, whom he defeated last year. "I just want to say to Tarver and Roy Jones, whoever the winner is, take on a real challenge. The real challenge is me and you know it," stated Johnson to Sean O'Grady in his post-fight interview.
