Derrick Gainer scored a flash knockdown against Chris John in the first round of their featherweight bout in Jakarta, Indonesia, but was unable to keep the momentum in his favor. Gainer floored John with a straight left but John recovered to retain his WBA regular title by a wide margin, 118-110, 118-111 and 118-109.  John, Boxingtak's #4 featherweight improves to 35-0-1 while Gainer, rated #22, drops to 39-7-1.  source: Associated Press
