John Duddy to meet Florida fans

Will make appearance just 3 days before fight

Press Release: On Monday, December 12, 2005, boxing fans will have an opportunity to meet Ireland’s John Duddy in a rare South Florida public appearance. Duddy will meet fans at Kavanagh and Morrissey’s Bar and Grill located at 1280 S Pine Island Road (at the southeast corner of Peters Road and Pine Island Road) at 7.30pm in Plantation, Florida.  He will be there signing autographs, giving away shirts, and promoting his upcoming fight on the Global Warfare card.   Tickets will also be available on location and the first 15 people to buy a pair of tickets to the event will receive a DVD of Duddy's last fight. In the “Global Warfare” main event on December 15, 2005, heavyweight contender Samuel “The Nigerian Nightmare” Peter returns to the ring for the first time since his epic battle with Wladimir Klitschko in September to face tough Robert Hawkins in a ten-round contest. In the co-featured bout of the evening, imposing heavyweight Lance Whitaker will tackle unbeaten Russian bomber Sultan Ibragimov in a bout that will undoubtedly produce a future challenger for one of the four world champions in boxing’s glamour division. The two men engaged in a press conference brawl in New York recently. Also featured in separate bouts will be unbeaten Duddy, plus top cruiserweight contender Dale Brown as well as Michael Marrone and Jesus Pabon.
