Joel Casamayor: Pacquiao-Diaz not what fans want to see

GL: Can you give us some final thoughts on your upcoming fight with Armandao Santa Cruz? "I've put in all the work, Joe's got me ready to go and I'm going to put on a show. I've been dying to fight, I've done a lot of talking and come Saturday night I'm going to back it up by taking care of business against a solid fighter in Santa Cruz."

GL: Will the fight go the distance?

Joel Casamayor: "No way. Anything can happen and he can try to survive, but I'm coming in there to make a statement and completely dominate this guy to show the world why I'm the only lightweight champion."

GL: Bob Arum recently told Boxingtalk.com that Manny Pacquaio will be moving up to 135 to fight David Diaz. Needless to say David Diaz is thrilled about this. Would you be disappointed if that fight happened?

JC: "I would be disappointed, but it's nothing new to me. I've been telling everyone on Boxingtalk that these guys are scared to death of me. The ones who should be the most disappointed are boxing fans. The best against the best is what the fans want to see. He's the best at 130 I'm the best lightweight in the world, so if he fights anybody but me he's not giving the people what they deserve."

"After they see what I do on Saturday night they're not going to change their minds either. I want to fight the best, Manny Pacquiao decides to do the same I'm ready. Juan Diaz finally grows some balls, I'm ready. Anybody who means something to my legacy and brings money to the table, I'm ready. Just show me the money."

GL: Is there anything you'd like to say in closing?

JC: "As always, I want to thank you and Boxingtalk for giving it to the fans straight from the fighters mouth. HBO PPV Saturday night, tune in because I'm going to put on a show."
