Sources from the WBO have informed Boxingtalk.com that undefeated super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe will make the mandatory defense of his title against WBO interim champion Mario Veit. Veit defeated Kabary Salem for the interim title and then was forced to watch Calzaghe take on Salem in his last fight, however, it seems the WBO is not taking doing away with the interim title as lightly as the WBC has with their (two and half year long) junior middleweight interim champion, Javier Castillejo. WBO President Paco Valcarcel and promoter Frank Warren were both unavailable for immediate comment. Remember Where You Heard It First! (1:40 PM ET)
