Jirov and Moorer Meet Face to Face Tonight on FSN's "Best Damn Sports Show Period"

Press release: One has been to the top of the heavyweight division and has a burning desire to get back there; the other is a former cruiserweight king with his eyes firmly set on the ultimate prize among the big boys.  On Thursday, December 9, in a bout to be aired live on  FSN 's "Best Damn Sports Show Period" from the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California, Vassiliy Jirov and Michael Moorer will battle it out in a 12-round WBC/WBA championship bout for the right to move up in the wide open heavyweight division.  For Jirov (33-2, 29 KOs), a win pushes him into the ranks of the top heavyweight contenders; for Moorer (46-4-1, 36 KOs), it's simply redemption.

When these two explosive heavyweights meet in the ring, it'll be a guaranteed toe-to-toe battle. Jirov , who is always coming forward, throwing shot after shot,  and Moorer, who is looking to throw one haymaker after the other, have a combined 83% knockout percentage.
