According to Teddy Atlas on ESPN2's Friday Night Fights, Jermain Taylor might make the next defense of the world middleweight championship against Kassim Ouma. Taylor has a December 9, 2006 date on HBO, but Sergio Mora and Giovanni Lorenzo were the names most frequently mentioned as challengers. If the fight comes off, Ouma, a former IBF title holder at 154 pounds, would follow Bernard Hopkins twice and then Winky Wright to form a murderers' row of opponents for Taylor. Mora is fighting next week on ESPN2, but the undefeated Lorenzo is presumably available to step up in weight to face Peter Manfredo in October.
