The Hall of Famer was working as trainer in Thailand when he began coughing up blood, according to Australian news reports. An infected heart valve was diagnosed, and Fenech will have to undergo emeregency surgery. Fenech, age 55, lit up the boxing world coming out of Australia. In 1985, he won a bantamweight championship in just his seventh pro fight. He went on to win titles at 122 and 126 pounds as well.
