In an all-Filipino match-up at the Sunken Arena, and with Malungon mayor Tessa Constantino at ringside, Mama defeated Carlo Demecillo by unanimous decision. After a well-boxed affair, judges Brembot Dulalas, Jaime Mata and Marlou Neri all scored the fight 98-92 in favor of Mama. The loser of a 2021 flyweight title bid to Sunny Edwards, Mama who improved his record to 20-1 with 10 KOs. Demecillo, a former three-time Philippines national champion, falls to 17-9-2 with 10 KOs. The fight headlined a night of boxing promoted by Sanman Promotions.
