James Toney arrives in Florida

Javier Mora-Harold Sconiers added to undercard

Press Release: James “Lights Out” Toney has arrived in Miami. Toney will face Sam Peter in Saturday night's main event at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida in a rematch of a controversial win for Peter. Toney made the cross-country air trek from Los Angeles with his stablemate and protégé Javier “Monster” Mora, who will fight an 8-round bout against Harold Sconiers. In their first battle last September, a competitive and entertaining heavyweight fight, the younger, bigger and stronger 26-year old Peter (27-1, 22 KOs) was awarded a disputed split decision over the clever, more skilled counter-puncher in the 38-year old Toney (69-5-3, 43 KOs). Peter was supposed to become the mandatory challenger in the WBC but the WBC Board of Governors voted 21 to 10 to sanction an immediate rematch.  Toney -- who is determined to soundly defeat “The Nigerian Nightmare” this time and put his Miami Vice grip on a mandatory world heavyweight title shot against reigning WBC champ Oleg Maskaev -- added the services of Tae Bo creator Billy Blanks to get him in the best possible condition for this bout. Mora (20-3-1, 17 KOs), who has been mentored by Toney and has served as the former seven-time world champion's chief sparring partner in prepping for Peter, is scheduled to appear on the undercard against veteran Sedrick Fields. The Peter-Toney II main event will be telecast live on Showtime.
