Jakubowski returns on November 19

Junior welterweight Marty Jakubowski will continue his comeback on November 19, 2004 at the Radisson Hotel in Merrillville, Indiana.  Jakubowski, one of the very few active boxers with more than 100 professional victories will fight in Merrillville for the third time this year after more than three years away from the ring.   Jakubowski last fought in front of a sold out audience at the same venue in April , when he made it two wins in as many bouts on his comeback. Jakubowski's opponent has not yet been determined.  Over his 133-bout pro career, Jakubowski has had three failed world title bids, against Miguel Angel Gonzalez, Artur Grigorian and Khalid Rahilou.  Octavius James and One In A Million will promote the show, and James intends to donate some of the proceeds to help Joey Golubic, a cerebral palsy sufferer.  The undercard will include a lightweight clash between Johnny Novak and Ryan Maraldo .  Other local boxers expected to see action include Gary  Indiana's undefeated junior welterweight Jermaine White, "Marvelous" Shay Mobley, Guy Solis, Jimmy Holmes and Matt McCarthy.  James also confirmed that One In A Million's middleweight prospect Michael Walker will appear on the October 15, 2004 Solo Boxeo card against David Estrada. Tickets for the "Pre-Thanksgiving Showdown" are on sale now at the Star Plaza box office or by calling 866-438-7372.
