Jackie Nava headlines Zanfer show on Saturday

Former two-division champion Jackie Nava and Sergio Alfredo Chirino will seek their second victories of this year on a show promoted in Mexico by Zanfer this Saturday at the TV Azteca studios in a closed-door event . The 40 year-old Nava (36-4-4, 16 KOs) will face Marisol Corona (11-7-3, 4 KOs) over ten rounds in a super bantamweight contest in which the 34 year-old Corona has both youth and speed in her favor. Chirino (17-6 including the World Series of Boxing) will face Antonio Tostado García (27-7, 8 KOs) over ten featherweoght rounds. For Chirino it will be his first ten-round fight, while Tostado has fought ten rounds or more six times. In 2014, Garcia lost a 115-pound title shot to Omar Narváez.
 
On the same show, Argi Cortés (16-2-2, 7 KOs) will face Martín Jiménez (14-8-0, 8 KOs) over eight bantamweight heats... Iván “Tsunami” García (8-0, 5 KOs) will mix it up with Carlos Mejía (5-1, 1 KO) in a flyweight six rounder... and Diego Melasco (5-0, 1 KO) will face José Yael Márquez (4-2, 3 KOs) over six junior flyweight sessions.
