Jack Mosley speaks on Shane Split-Up and Not All Was Sugar Sweet

GL: I'm honored by the interview request. Can you give us some thoughts on your latest split-up with Shane? "I don't know what happened. I was surprised myself. I know I didn't do anything wrong. From what I understand he wants to work with Naseem Richardson, who I've seen on TV a couple of time, but I don't know him personally and I don't know what he brings to the table either. I don't really know. All I know is he wants to go in that direction."

GL: How were you notified?

Jack Mosley: "He told me and I just said you have my blessings and your still my son. You'll always be a family member and as long as you've got a good relationship with your family you're cool with me. By family I mean, my wife, my daughters and my grandkids, just maintaining a good relationship with your family is what a man needs to do regardless of what he's trying to do. I don't know what he's trying to do, but it's fine with me. It was very heart breaking the first time, because I know in my mind I've gone above and beyond. We're coming off one of the greatest knockouts in history because there was one second to go."

GL: Does the recent success you and Shane have achieved together surprise you?

JM: "Yeah. I don't know what went wrong. To me people are in his ear. He says it's not his wife, but who knows. He's also training with Bernard and he might be involved in it too. There's all kind of people in Shane's ear which makes me wonder, is Shane alright or what?"

GL: You didn't make it a secret you felt his wife was the reason for the first split up.

JM: "And she admitted to. Afterwards, she admitted it."

GL: Were you on Jin on good terms going into this split up?

JM: "I speak to Jin when I see her and everything. Shane is my son and Shane has a family, and then he has another family with Jin and the kids. It's kind of like needs to stay that way too."

GL: In your opinion has he empowered her too much as his career has unfolded?

JM: "Well, I think so. But that's what it is. A lot of people might not think so, but that's probably what it is. In order to have a smooth ship you have to captain the ship right. If you don't become the captain of your ship, you're going to have a bumpy right everywhere you go all the time. That's the difference between some good captains and some bad captains. If you don't take care of your ship and all that's in it you're going to have a problem all the time."

GL: In your opinion, at this stage of his career can Shane learned anything new that he would bring to the ring with him?

JM: "Nah. When Goossen got with him he couldn't show him nothing. Shane already knows everything that they're going to be talking about. The only thing they could be doing is massaging his brain and massaging his attitude or something to keep him happy and laughing. Of course Bernard could talk to him and keep him laughing and I guess Richardson can talk to him a certain way, but I don't see what's going to come out of it."

GL: Tell us about Max International.

JM: "It's the greatest health product on the planet. It's the greatest health product since the polio shot. Dr Keller is going to be considered one of the greatest names in medicine. Every elite athlete over 30 needs to know about this product because it will push them back to their twenties."

GL: Will you still train other fighters?

JM: "Yes. I've got four young up and coming heavyweights I'm working with now. And they will be well known soon. One thing about this split is it will give me more time to focus on Max Intertnational work with these heavyweights and start training Shane Jr. I'm also going to be doing a reality TV show with Ray J.

GL: Is it possible that these other ventures were taking away from your time to train him?

JM: "No. But when I was training Shane we would go away for three months so I couldn't really train my other fighters. Now I'm going to have more time. I guess that's why I'm not very upset. He's my son and I love him and I'm not going to let anybody come between us. Some people want to come between us and I'm not going to allow that to happen. He says he wants to go with this guy, so what. I don't care who it is. If it's Jin, I'm not going to let her come between me and my family. If it's Bernard or whoever it is, they're not coming between me and my family."

GL: Do you think he made this moves because he could be paying Richardson less?

JM: "I don't know. I really don't know. I don't even care about the money because he's my son."
