Riyadh, Saudi Arabia-based promoter Skill Challenge Entertainment Enterprises (known as SCEE) has appointed Las Vegas-based manager, advisor and former kickboxing champion Amer Abdallah as the Head of Boxing Operations for the company. SCEE was founded by His Highness Prince Khalid bin Abdulaziz AlSaud and promotes fights in the Middle East, primarily out of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including Anthony Joshua vs. Andy Ruiz II and most recently Oleksander Usyk vs. Anthony Joshua II. Abdallah was recently brought on board by the Prince to oversee the boxing operations and put together some of biggest fights to be made.
“It’s a tremendous honor for me to have been appointed such a pivotal position in the landscape of boxing in the Middle East and across the globe.” Abdallah stated. “His Highness Prince Khalid bin AbdulAziz has massive plans for the region and for boxing in general in which I’m confident boxing fans will thoroughly appreciate. SCEE isn’t tied to any one promoter or network, we have plans to work with everyone in the industry to deliver fights the fans want to see.”
The next event scheduled is Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury, an eight-round bout scheduled for Saturday. With two previous failed attempts at making the fight happen, both men have now arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and are prepared to square off next week. “The Truth” Paul (6-0, 4 KOs) vs Fury (8-0, 4 KOs) will be shown in the United States on ESPN pay-per-view with the live broadcast beginning at 11am PST / 2pm EST. The co-feature is for the WBC cruiserweight championship between defending champion Illunga Junior Makabu (29-2, 25 KOs) and Badou Jack (27-3-3, 16 KOs).
“This is arguably the most anticipated “hybrid card” put together to date featuring one of the most talked about personalities in the sport, Jake Paul and the question of what happens when he fights a “real” boxer. Tommy Fury fits that bill and we’ll have that answer on the 26th. That fight, coupled with a co main event featuring a WBC title fight between Junior Makabu and Badou Jack, makes it for a very interesting night of boxing” Abdallah added.
