Jeter Promotions announced the signing of amateur standout Carlos Flowers to a promotional contract. Flowers was introduced to martial arts by his father, Carlos Flowers Sr., a third degree black belt in tae kwon do. The father initially had the son following in his footsteps, training in tae kwon do before introducing him to boxing. But once Flowers stepped into the boxing gym, he found his calling and never looked back. A natural athlete, Flowers was a standout football linebacker at Dover High School. But as his passion for boxing grew, he made the difficult decision to leave football behind and dedicate all of his athletic ability and energy to becoming the best boxer he could be.

 

Inside the ring, Flowers describes his style as a combination of Errol Spence Jr. and Jermell Charlo. He is a true boxer-puncher who possesses the ability to box from the outside, make adjustments and break opponents down—but he is equally comfortable standing in the pocket and trading. He can box. He can slug. But his heart tells him to slug. Jeter Promotions is betting that mentality makes Flowers an exciting fighter to watch as he begins his professional journey.

 

Flowers' amateur résumé speaks for itself. He closed out an outstanding amateur career on the international stage, capturing a bronze medal at the 2026 World Boxing Cup in Brazil and earning his place at the World Boxing Championships, competing among the best amateur fighters in the world. Before that, he was the 2016 Youth Novice 176-pound Golden Gloves Champion, 2020 Open Elite 165-pound Golden Gloves Champion, 2024 Olympic qualifier at the Detroit Nationals, 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials silver medalist, 2025 Wichita Summer Festival Nationals champion, and a 2025 December Nationals silver medalist.

 

He had wins over distinguished amateurs including amateur world champion Benjamin Johnson and National Golden Gloves champion Naim Somerville. Flowers finished his amateur career ranked #1 in the United States and #13 in the world. Now, one of America’s top amateurs is ready for the professional ranks. The amateur chapter is complete. The road to a professional world title starts now.

Outside the ring, family and community are at the center of Flowers’ life. He comes from a tight-knit family, including his mother and father, two older sisters and younger brother. His family regularly attends his fights, along with a large contingent of supporters from the Dover community.

 

Flowers also gives back to that community through his work at the Boys & Girls Club, where he works in Youth Development and helps counsel and mentor young people. His role allows him to use his experiences and influence to help guide the next generation.

 

When he’s not training or working, Flowers enjoys spending time with his family and gaming. His go-to games include Madden and Rainbow Six Siege.
