MTK Global announced the signing of popular London junior middleweight Dan Dan Keenan. [Although he has a 7-1 record, Keenan has yet to beat a boxer with a winning record Keenan had one fight in 2018 and none at all in 2019]. News on Keenan’s first fight as an MTK Global fighter will be announced in due course.
Keenan said, “I’m really excited to be joining MTK Global. I’ve been keeping a close eye on them and I’m impressed with the whole set up. I’ve been speaking to Lee Eaton for quite a while now too and I’m most impressed with his efforts, so it’s been a long time coming really. It feels like it’s a step in the right direction and I know I’m in good hands. I’m a slick southpaw most known for having fast hands and fast feet. I been around for a long time now so I’ve picked up a lot of good habits along the way.
“I have had a bit of time out so I just want to be busy. I want four fights back to back before the end of the year and hopefully that will put me in a position to finally get my hands on a belt which I’ve had my eyes on since I was 18.”
Promoter Lee Eaton added: “We’re thrilled to welcome Dan Dan to the team. He’s been inactive for nearly two years now so we’re excited to see him back in the ring. I was at the Wembley Arena in October 2017 when he fought on the George Groves vs. Jamie Cox undercard, and his fans were the loudest in the place and created an incredible atmosphere, so I can’t wait to experience that on our MTK FightNight events.”
