Interesting show booked for Tanzania on Jan. 29th

Tanzania continues to keep the flag flying high for African boxing, with a notable card slated for Dar Es Salaam on January 29th. So far announced for the show is a lightweight contest between Tanzania's Class Mgender (24-6) and South Africa-based Malawian Dennis Mwale, 8-0. Mgender went twelve rounds with Julius Ndongo in 2015, and Ndongo would go on to become a unified junior welterweight champion. In a cruiserweight bout on the same show, Shaban Hamdi Jongo (7-1-2), takes a big step up in class when he faces American Shawn Miller (18-5-1). Jongo won the Tanzanian national crown in 2017 and has won five straight.

At least seven undercard bouts are planned, with plenty of international flavor, as Tervel Pulev (15-0) from Bulgaria and Lolita Muzeya (15-0) from Malawi among the interesting names reportedly set to appear in non-title fights.
